This is my inaugural post for my microblog. It’s a “micro” blog in that it’s a place for me to knock out some quick thoughts, though sometimes, I’m sure they’ll go long.
This site is where I will post content that’s too long for Twitter and too off the cuff for my formal articles on ReasonOnFaith.org.
There, you can read a bit about me, including my welcome post outlining how I wish to challenge concepts related to religion and inherited belief.
In short, I’ve been ex-Muslim for several years, and was originally from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. I critique religion with compassion and reject anti-Muslim bigotry. While labels are not as good as conversations when dealing with beliefs, if you wish, you can consider me on the spectrum between implicit atheism and agnostic deism. What I am very clear on, is my rejection of classical theism.
I created this microblog as a companion to my main blog. That blog is for long form and more formal articles.
In contrast, this microblog is intended to have much shorter posts for which Twitter is just too terse.
You probably arrived here from a Twitter.com conversation, where I wanted to say more than 140 characters to get some nuance across.
So welcome!
And peace, love and a healthy dose of understanding to all of you.
