Alleged Hypocrisy in Moderation? A Response to /u/terrabera
This post is effectively a mirror of my response comment on the /r/ahmadiyya subreddit to user ‘terrabera’, who alleges that the moderation team at the Questioning Islam/Ahmadiyya subreddit is hypocritical. I’m not sure if my comment will be approved or removed from that subreddit, so I have mirrored it here, with additional links.
Thoughts on Religious Indoctrination: A Response to /u/lakeclear
This post is based on my response to user /u/lakeclear on the Reddit forum /r/ahmadiyya, who commented on religious indoctrination with an attempt to suggest that indoctrination is all around us, and that religions like Islam encourage reasoned belief.
Thoughts on ‘Nothing After Ahmadiyyat Except Atheism’
This post is based on my response to Razi in his Reddit post on /r/ahmadiyya. Razi runs the Ahmadi Answers apologetics website promoting Ahmadiyya Islam. Razi effectively suggests that when people begin to doubt Ahmadiyyat, they should pray to God instead of exploring further. He further characterizes these doubts as ‘misunderstandings’. He begins with a desired conclusion at the outset.
Exchanges on Gender Segregation with Farhan Iqbal
This post is an extended, open response to Farhan Iqbal Sahib, a formally trained imam with the peaceful Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. In the past, we’ve exchanged ideas on to the topic of gender segregation. I’ve also provided an overview in a Reddit post, along with a mirror of my most recent comments to Farhan Sahib, which were posted in a Facebook group.
